Our President Veronika Maurer gets to the heart of the matter in her personal portrait. She says:
"It is important to me that, on the one hand, researchers from different disciplines and, on the other, players from the entire industry know each other and exchange ideas. Especially now, when livestock farming is being called into question like never before, it is important that we all address this issue together and find answers."
The SVT Board has therefore decided to offer a newsletter for SVT members and other interested parties. It contains information from the SVT, news from the world of livestock science, a profile of a person associated with the SVT, information on events in Switzerland and abroad and a pinboard. On the latter you can, for example, "advertise" jobs or draw attention to special occasions.
All SVT members are now cordially invited to inform the Board of Directors about scientific news and events, as well as to fill the pinboard. We are happy to receive input in all national languages as well as English; contributions will not be translated but will remain in the original language.
It is planned that the newsletter will initially be sent out three times a year and that SVT members will thus be informed more extensively.
